ACTUMATIC®

ACTUMATIC® fulfills all demands on control of electric actuators deriving from the various types of valves. ACTUMATIC® is integrated in the actuator as a modular designed system component. The actuator controller is easily adapted to the requirements of the actual positioning element. The control behaviour of the electric actuator is set by configuring ACTUMATIC®. Without wiring changes and without having to define the exact circuitry already at the beginning of project engineering. Settings are made easily and quickly on-site by setting DIP-switches on the logic board PAL (Programmable Actuator Logic). Monitoring functions and status displays facilitate start-up, optimize maintenance and thus guarantee reliable operation.

Advantages from using ACTUMATIC®
  • Cost savings in planning
  • Flexibility in engineering
  • Cost savings in cabling and installation
  • Less logistics cost
  • Cost savings in maintenance
  • Flexibility with changes and extensions
Functionality
  • Motor control
  • Phase-sequence monitoring/Phase loss monitoring
  • Behaviour in case of end positions for travel and torque can be set
  • Function monitoring
  • Signalling
  • Selection of behaviour in case of failure
  • Diagnostics without additional diagnosis device
  • Customer-specific solutions programmable
User setting of actuator configuration
The logic control sequences are factory-programmed in a PLD (Programmable Logic Device) on the logic board PAL. This factory-programming comprises modes of operation, resulting from combinations of positioning elements and electric actuators, most frequently used in practice, as a standard version. By setting the DIP-switches "Parameters" (see list of parameters) on the logic board PAL the required actuator-specific motor control settings as well as the variants of processing of end position and control signals are selected. Special requirements on actuator control can be realised by customer-specific programming of the PLD control logic.
