ACTUPACT®

The advantages of SCHIEBEL's ACTUPACT® command module result from the compact connection of motor control and positioning element. Control and locking of the reversing contactor unit are already integrated in the actuator. As a consequence cabling is reduced in the switchgear cabinet. The range of functions of ACTUPACT® extends from simple OPEN-STOP-CLOSED open-loop control operation over HOLD-TO-RUN mode to CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL operation. LOCAL or REMOTE mode can be selected by the built-in selector switch. The actuator is out of operation, if the centre position of the selector switch is set. This switch can be locked to avoid unwanted operation.

Advantages from using ACTUPACT®

  • Less cabling cost
  • Easier commissioning
  • Cost savings in planning
  • Less maintenance cost
  • Greater user friendliness
  • Less logistics cost
  • Functionality

  • Local control
  • Check-back indication
  • Control switch
  • Selector switch
  • Control-circuit fuse

  • The compact construction of the ACTUPACT® command module turns this control unit into a cost-saving alternative compared to other control solutions. At any time operation of the actuator is possible. During maintenance of the positioning element the actuator can be taken out of operation. This makes the ACTUPACT® the perfect component within a simple and complete solution.

is used for S2 open-loop control operation (OPEN/CLOSE valves). Normally it is not necessary to reach intermediate positions. Therefore control signals are self-retaining. After a positioning signal the actuator runs to the respective end position. If the actuator is to stop before the end position is reached, the control signal STOP has to be set. for hold-to-run operation. Also intermediate positions of the valve can be set. The actual position is indicated by a standard 4-20mA signal. Power supply is already integrated. The actuator runs as long as the control signal is active. There is no self-retaining of the control signals in hold-to-run operation. A brake motor can be used to achieve a higher positioning accuracy. for closed-loop control operation. Positioning is carried out by the integrated position controller SRG. In remote mode the actuator is controlled by a setpoint signal of 4-20mA. The position controller compares the actual value to the setpoint and corrects positioning in case of deviation. The actual value can also be used externally. A brake motor can be used to achieve a higher positioning accuracy.
